Comment: Can I just say that Hoizumi-senpai is voiced by Saitou Souma and we all know that Furukawa Makoto voices Uenoyama - feelings of betrayal aside, I do wonder who’s gonna voice Asahi-san if they ever adapt Love Nest into a BLCD. If he’s going to be voiced by Kawahara Yoshihisa who’s been working Satou Takuya hard in Remnant then I would be SOOOO ELATED. 😂

WOW.

THIS WAS DOPE. That sounded like a fifth grader’s rambling. 😂

No but seriously, that was great. It was so cute, so sweet, and so fluffy, man. I’m on the fence about which was better - this or Gelateria Supernova. Damn, Kitahala Lyee’s such a breath of fresh air. I was reading the raws while listening to the BLCD and oh my god, I was just screaming into my pillow the whole time. 😌 

The plot wasn’t anything new or dramatic but wow, just reading/listening to it makes you giddy and warm inside. 😭❤️I just love how both of them had such great character personalities and their relationship was so healthy that Kakine can just go cry a river over there. I actually didn’t read much of the details so I didn’t know that Shiina-kun was in fact, much younger than Yonekura-san. Oh my God, we have a refreshing, respectful, straight-to-the-point, and kind younger seme here. Wow, he’s just so perfect - a seme we all deserve. And I’m glad that Yonekura-san handled Shiina-kun’s feelings pretty well despite being so confused at first. He wasn’t “oh, we’re both men I’ve got to turn him down real quick and a guy like me isn’t worth it” but was more “what do I really feel about him? I like his company but, will I able to reciprocate those feelings?”. Both of their personalities are an A++.

This plot just suits the title as it gave me mofucking diabetes. See you on the other side real soon, Dad. I’d have to argue that the whole thing was sweeter than Gelateria Supernova but may just be as sweet as Royal Vanilla. 😩

Moving on to the voice work,

Yo, it’s been a hot minute since I’ve last listened to Okitsu Kazuyuki in a seme role (the last one wasn’t so good plot wise) and this’ll be the first of his “good” seme roles this year as we’ll have Change World, Coyote, Tada no Classmate 3, and Theo later. I like how he blended into his role. Y’all know by now just how I attribute Maeno and Okitsu to their respective roles in KD so it’s hard hearing them play another character if they do as much as let their guards down and let their KD voices slip through. But y’all should also by now that these two are that profesh that they have yet to fail me. 😂 I just love Okitsu, man. 

Now, I’m not really familiar with Yamanaka Masahiro that much. I know how he sounds like Shin in Galtia since I’ve spent some time playing and listening to the BLCDs but to pick up his voice in a crowd would be difficult. Anyway, that aside, he took to his role of Yonekura-san really well. He pulled off that older naive guy vibe quite nicely. I honestly can’t think of a better casting choice than these two ever since finishing it so good on you again, Brilliant Prin. 👏

Brilliant Prin has been nothing but brilliant this year. 😂 (I don’t know about Himitsu no Koibito but, they have a great lineup this year)

So we have great plot and execution, the best voice casting choice,  and sweet mattress mambos - the only thing left is the truthfulness to the original material. I did read the raws while listening to the CD and I can definitely say that they’ve cut out some parts, added some in, and rearranged some things but there’s nothing that really changed the story so I think that no one would have any problems if they wish to do it too. The BLCD actually doesn’t have the bonus (mattress) comic so that’s a bit sad but, it’s still great regardless.

I’ve actually started working on translating the manga itself (which is why it took a long time for this review to come out) but, it’s really hard to do everything myself lol. 😂 I wonder just how many times I’ve said that I’ll work on things and I end up not finishing any of them.

Anyway, this was AWESOME and it’s also one of the working running for a spot on my Top Ten BLCDs of 2018. Please give it a read/listen, you won’t regret it!
